I created this blog as a 'treasury' of my thoughts and feelings for my two prized possessions: my beautiful, tall, serious 9 year old daughter Serena and my handsome, gregarious, the world-is-my-oyster 4 year old son, Emery. Obviously or not, the only free time nowadays, that I can muster is during some quiet time in the on-call room where there is an actual internet service (and quite fast to boot) as opposed to the non-existent streamyx at our house due to the fact that TM thinks it is perfectly normal and acceptable for people to wait months on end to get phone lines.
Whilst whiling my time away waiting for some perfect disaster to happen in the paediatric ICU next door, I thought today would be a good day to start my blog. (And that's after finishing one good novel, a nap, doing rounds twice in the ICUs and the wards, setting in a peripheral line, changing a few arterial lines... you may think that I am still a measly house officer, which is absolutely right, but I am also the medical officer and the specialist.. which makes me the general dogsbody around here!)
Whatever. This is hopefully, the start of a beautiful relationship...
